Whoa! Studios is a state of the art film studio specialising in live action, puppetry and miniatures. We are the only film studio in New Zealand to open our doors to kids and families. Our flagship offering is an original, world class, live show based on the characters and sets of Custard’s World, adapted for stage from a script by Bob Baker, BAFTA award winning screenwriter of Wallace & Gromit. PARK

The Whoa! Studios urban park will make a great visit even better. Our design team searched the world for inspiration about the best play ideas. We are proud to offer the only hand crafted crochet climbing net in NZ, that took Japanese artist Toshiko Horiuchi Macadam two years to craft. Our Whoa! Zone adventure playground is a custom designed playground, crafted by our very own set designers and builders. Could this be one of the top 10 urban playgrounds in the world? Come and see. KITCHEN

The Grounds, by celebrity chef Ben Bayly, is Auckland’s first Modern Family Eatery. Born from Ben’s own love of creating great family food memories. Ben is proud to present a unique selection of delicious and nutritious dishes able to be enjoyed by adults and children. The Grounds will also open as a restaurant outside of studio hours. CUSTARD’S WORLD

Custard’s World is a rollicking, adventure comedy that captures the hearts and affections of children of all ages. Scripted by BAFTA award writer Bob Baker, and local creative talent, Custard’s World is a heartwarming, fun, family film project. With a plot to steal the smiles from those residing in the happy town of Doodle, Dr. Gloom and his assistant Colin are certain this will secure the Super-Villain of the Year title. Follow our unlikely hero Custard and his friends as they band together to stop Dr. Gloom and save the smiles of their hometown.
